Mr. Flowers is a Managing Director & CEO of J.C. Flowers & Co. and a member of the firm’s Management Committee. Mr. Flowers has spent more than 35 years focused on financial services, both as an advisor and as an investor. He joined Goldman, Sachs & Co. in 1979 in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group and became a General Partner in 1988. In 1986 he was among the founders of Goldman’s Financial Institutions Group. Mr. Flowers was named co-head of the group in 1994 and sole head in 1996.
Mr. Flowers serves on the Boards of Directors of NIBC Holding N.V., Shinsei Bank, Limited, and The Kessler Group. Mr. Flowers received an A.B. magna cum laude in Applied Mathematics from Harvard College.
Mr. Christner is a Managing Director at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Mr. Christner was a member of the Financial Institutions Group at Morgan Stanley in London from 2000 to 2007.
Mr. Christner serves on the Supervisory Board of NIBC Holding N.V. and the Board of Directors for Eurovita Assicurazoni S.p.A. Mr. Christner received an M.A. in Business Administration and Applied Computer Science from the University of Cologne, where he was awarded a scholarship from the German National Scholarship Foundation.
Mr. Hanford is Managing Director for Europe and a member of the firm’s Management Committee. Prior to joining the firm in 2009, Mr. Hanford worked with J.C. Flowers & Co. as Co-Head of FPK Capital and, prior to that, as Head of Private Equity at Dresdner Bank and a member of the Institutional Restructuring Unit’s Executive Committee. Mr. Hanford’s other experience includes serving as a Board Director of Schroders, based in Hong Kong and Tokyo, where he was Head of Structured Finance.
Mr. Hanford serves on the Boards of Directors of Pension Corporation, OneSavings Bank Plc, Castle Trust, and Cabot Credit Management.
Mr. Hanford received a B.Sc. (Honors) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham and an M.S. in Management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business where he was a Sloan Fellow.
Dr. Morgan is Executive Chairman for JCF Europe and Asia Pacific, and a member of the firm’s Management Committee. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Dr. Morgan served as CEO of Westpac Banking Corporation, a global top 20 bank, from 1999 to 2008. Before becoming CEO in 1999, he held various executive roles at Westpac, including Managing Director, Westpac Financial Services; Group Executive, Retail Banking; and Group Executive, Institutional and Investment Banking. Dr. Morgan’s experience prior to Westpac was primarily in the government and financial sectors, having begun his career working for the International Monetary Fund in the 1970s. During the 1980s, Dr. Morgan worked for the Australian Federal Treasury, where he was appointed Senior Deputy Secretary.
Dr. Morgan is a former Head of the Australian Bankers Association. He serves on the Supervisory Boards of HSH Nordbank AG and NIBC Holding N.V. and the Boards of Directors of Castle Trust and OneSavings Bank Plc. He also serves as a Senior Advisor to Shinsei Bank, Limited.
Dr. Morgan holds a degree in Economics (1st Class Honors) from La Trobe University. He also holds an M.Sc. with Distinction and Ph.D. in Economics from the London School of Economics. In 2009, he was made an Officer of the Order of Australia for service to the finance sector, corporate social responsibility and economic reform.
Mr. Oros is a Managing Director and a member of the firm’s Management Committee. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Mr. Oros held a number of executive positions at Enstar Group Limited, including the role of Executive Chairman from 2000 – 2010. Prior to that, Mr. Oros was an investment banker in the Financial Institutions Group of Goldman Sachs for almost 20 years, where he became a General Partner in 1986. In addition, Mr. Oros was appointed Chairman of the Federal Savings and Loan Council in 1987, where he served for two years.
Mr. Oros serves on the Board of Directors of Cabot Credit Management and has been nominated to the Board of Directors to CIT Group Inc. Mr. Oros received a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin School of Business and served as a lieutenant in the United States Army and Army Reserves from 1968-1974.
Mr. Porté is a Managing Director at J.C. Flowers. Prior to joining the firm in 2009, Mr. Porté was with Shinsei Bank, Limited for approximately five years, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer and in various other executive roles. Before joining Shinsei’s Management team, Mr. Porté spent 22 years at Morgan Stanley & Co., where he served in various capacities in capital markets, corporate finance and management in New York, London and Tokyo, ultimately becoming a Managing Director and the President, Representative Director and Branch Manager of Morgan Stanley Japan.
Mr. Porté serves on the Boards of Directors for OneLife Holding S.à.r.l., Equita S.I.M., Compagnie Européenne De Prévoyance, Eurovita Assiscurazioni S.p.A., and Acuon Capital Corporation. He attends all board meetings of SICOM Limited and serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Chi-X Asia Pacific.
Mr. Porté received an A.B. magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in Economics from Harvard College and is a Baker Scholar graduate of the Harvard Business School.
Mr. Rahe is a Managing Director at J.C. Flowers & Co and a member of the firm’s Management Committee. Prior to joining the firm in 2014, Mr. Rahe was a Managing Director at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice where he established and led the firm’s financial services practice. Previously, he was a senior investment professional at the hedge fund SAB Capital, and before that a Partner at Capital Z Partners, the financial services focused private equity firm. Mr. Rahe began his career at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
Mr. Rahe serves on the Boards of Directors for Affirmative Insurance Holdings and AmeriLife Group Holdings.
He received an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College, where he graduated magna cum laude, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Ms. Rocker is a Managing Director & General Counsel and a member of the firm’s Management Committee. Prior to joining the firm in 2000, Ms. Rocker was Of Counsel at O’Sullivan Graev & Karabell, where she represented major financial institutions in their private equity investments. Prior to that, she was an Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group from 1988 to 1996. Ms. Rocker began her career in the business sector, working at Petro Lewis Corporation as an Associate in the Strategic Planning and Treasury Departments.
Ms. Rocker serves on the Supervisory Board of NIBC Holding N.V. She received a B.A. from Brown University, an M.B.A. from Yale University and a J.D. from Stanford University.
Mr. Alioglu is an Associate at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2016, Mr. Alioglu worked as an investment banker in the Financial Institutions Group at JPMorgan Chase for three years in London where he focused on the banking and insurance sectors.
He received a B.A. magna cum laude in Mathematics and Economics (Honors) from Northwestern University, and is a recipient of Robert Eisner Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Economic Research.
Mr. Cox is a Vice President at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2012, Mr. Cox spent five years in investment banking, first in Rothschild’s London based Financial Institutions Group, and then as a Vice President at Credit Suisse in London where he covered European insurance. Previously, Mr. Cox also qualified as a Chartered Accountant while working in the Financial Sector Transaction Services team at KPMG in London, and he remains a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
Mr. Cox serves on the Board of Directors of Castle Trust and Acuon Capital Corp and previously served on the Board of Directors of Compagnie Européenne De Prévoyance. He received a B.Sc. in Government & Economics from the London School of Economics.
Mr. Dong is an Associate at J.C. Flowers. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Mr. Dong was a member of the Financial Institutions Group at Barclays Investment Bank for three years in New York focused on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising transactions in the insurance sector.
Mr. Dong received a B.S. (Honors) in Finance and Accounting with High Distinction from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University.
Mr. Harding is a Vice President at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2015, Mr. Harding spent seven years in investment banking in the Financial Institutions Group of Bank of America Merrill Lynch, primarily in New York with one year in London, where he covered a diverse range of bank, insurance and specialty finance companies and most recently had responsibility for covering transportation leasing companies. Mr. Harding began his career as a lawyer at Cravath Swain and Moore.
Mr. Harding received a B.A. with Highest Honors from Swarthmore College, a Juris Doctor degree as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar from Columbia Law School and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. He is a CFA charterholder.
Mr. Salvato is an Associate at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Mr. Salvato was a member of the Financial Institutions Group at Goldman Sachs for two years in New York where he focused on the banking and specialty finance sectors.
Mr. Salvato serves on the Board of Directors of AmeriLife Group Holdings. He received an A.B. cum laude in Economics and a Certificate in Finance from Princeton University.
Mr. Secci is a Senior Associate at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Mr. Secci was an Associate in the Financial Institutions Group at J.P. Morgan in London.
Mr. Secci received a B.A. magna cum laude in Business Administration and an M.Sc. magna cum laude in Finance from Bocconi University in Milan
Mr. Yordán is a Vice President at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm out of business school in 2011, Mr. Yordán worked as an investment banker at Goldman, Sachs & Co., in both New York and London.
Mr. Yordán serves on the Board of Directors of Chi-X, Kreditech, and NPG Wealth Management Sarl. He received a B.A. magna cum laude from Middlebury College with degrees in Spanish and Film Studies, and is a Director’s List graduate of the M.B.A. program at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Bohannon is an Associate General Counsel at J.C. Flowers. Prior to joining the firm in 2012, Ms. Bohannon was as an Associate with Shearman & Sterling LLP from 2004-2012, where she was a member of the firm’s Asset Management group.
Ms. Bohannon received a B.A. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University and a J.D. from the Vanderbilt University Law School.
Ms. Brown is a Managing Director & Chief Financial Officer at J.C. Flowers. Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Ms. Brown served as Controller at Tailwind Management LP, a private equity firm focused on the middle-market sector. Prior to that she was at Deloitte & Touche, LLP, in New York, where she served as Manager working on large and small private equity clients focusing primarily on leverage buyouts, mezzanine financing, and fund-of-funds. She began her career in Dayton, Ohio at Deloitte & Touche LLP, where she served clients in a variety of industries including banking, non-for-profit, higher education, manufacturing, and retail.
Ms. Brown received a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Dayton.
Mr. Choi is Associate Director of Tax at J.C. Flowers. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Mr. Choi was a Tax Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s real estate funds tax practice. Mr. Choi has extensive tax experience in the private equity industry, addressing U.S. tax considerations related to both inbound and outbound investments. At PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Mr. Choi worked closely with private equity fund sponsors to develop sophisticated fund structures for different types of investors and managed large tax compliance engagements.
Mr. Choi received a B.S. in Accounting and an M.S. in Taxation from Baruch College.
Ms. Clark is an Accounting/Payroll Manager at J.C. Flowers. Prior to joining the firm in 2000, Ms. Clark worked at Goldman Sachs for three years.
Ms. Clark received a B.A. in Social Ecology from the University of California Irvine.
Mr. Freebern is a Managing Director & Director of Tax at J.C. Flowers. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Mr. Freebern served as the Tax Director of Lehman Brothers’ private equity business where he oversaw tax matters for all its divisions: fund of funds, credit products, merchant banking, real estate, venture capital, and communications. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Mr. Freebern was a Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s real estate funds tax practice.
Mr. Freebern received a B.S. in Accounting from Alfred University and an M.S. in Taxation from Fordham University.
Ms. Haag is a Paralegal and Senior Associate, Legal & Compliance at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Ms. Haag worked as a Paralegal for both Bear Stearns’ investment bank and Bear Stearns Merchant Banking. Ms. Haag began her career as a Legal Assistant with Sidley Austin LLP.
Ms. Haag received a B.A. magna cum laude in Government from Connecticut College.
Ms. Johnson is a Managing Director & Chief Compliance Officer at J.C. Flowers. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Ms. Johnson was Associate General Counsel at The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc. Ms. Johnson began her legal career as an Associate with Simpson, Thatcher & Bartlett LLP in the M&A and Private Funds groups.
Ms. Johnson received a B.A. magna cum laude in Government from Dartmouth College, where she was named Phi Beta Kappa, and a J.D. with honors from the University of Chicago.
Ms. Ma is a Fund Controller at J.C. Flowers. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Ms. Ma served as Manager at State Street Global Services, an alternative investment administrator focused on the private equity and hedge fund sectors. Prior to that she was at CIBC World Markets in New York, working in the bank’s merchant banking division where the bank makes its investments in fund-of-funds.
Ms. Ma received a B.S. in Accounting from Bernard M. Baruch College.
Ms. Miller is a Senior Associate, Investor Relations at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2014, Ms. Miller worked in the Financial Institutions Group at Barclays, focusing on mergers, acquisitions, and capital structuring transactions for insurance companies. Prior to Barclays, Ms. Miller worked in Equity Research at Credit Suisse, covering insurance companies.
Ms. Miller received a B.S., cum laude, in Economics with a concentration in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Mullens is the Director of Fund Reporting at J.C. Flowers. Prior to joining the firm in 2010, Mr. Mullens served as Senior Manager for Deloitte & Touche Overseas Services LLC from 2006-2009, where he was a member of the International Financial Services Group in Dublin, Ireland, specializing in the provision of assurance and advisory services to clients in the financial services sector. Prior to 2006, he was a Manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP, New York, where he served large and small private equity clients with a focus on leveraged buyout, venture capital and fund-of-funds.
Mr. Mullens is a New York State Certified Public Accountant and received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Scranton.
Ms. Ng is the Senior Controller at J. C. Flowers. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Ms. Ng was the Controller of Corporate Accounting at Longacre Fund Management LLC, a distressed debt hedge fund. Prior to that she was a Manager in the Finance team at Macquarie in New York. Prior to joining Macquarie, Ms. Ng was a Manager in the audit and assurance practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Toronto, Canada specializing in financial services clients.
Ms. Ng is an Illinois State Certified Public Accountant and a Canadian Chartered Public Accountant. She obtained her B.Comm at the University of Toronto.
Ms. Park is the Director of Investor Relations at J.C. Flowers. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Ms. Park was a Vice President in the Private Placement Group at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA), responsible for executing marketing strategy and managing global capital raising efforts for MIRA’s fourth North American fund. Previously, she was an Associate with TPG Capital, where she executed a broad range of fundraising and investor relations initiatives across TPG’s global investment platform.
Ms. Park has also worked in investment banking and brand management. Ms. Park received a B.S. in Engineering – Product Design from Stanford University.
Mr. Remeza is an Associate General Counsel at J.C. Flowers. Prior to joining the firm in 2012, Mr. Remeza served as legal counsel at Ashmore Group PLC, a London-based investment fund manager, where he was responsible for overseeing the legal aspects of the company’s private equity investments and fund formations. Prior to joining Ashmore, Mr. Remeza was an Associate at Kirkland & Ellis.
Mr. Remeza received a J.D. from Columbia University Law School, an LL.M in International Business Law and an M.Sc. in International Relations from London School of Economics & Political Science and a B.A. in Philosophy and Government from Dartmouth College. Mr. Remeza is a Fulbright Scholar.
Ms. Togami is the Fund Controller at J.C. Flowers. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Ms. Togami served as Controller in the Private Equity, Corporate Controller’s Office, Equity Trading and Fixed Income Derivatives groups of Merrill Lynch in New York, London and Tokyo. Prior to that she was at Arthur Andersen LLP in New York, where she served as a senior auditor in the Financial Service Practice group, working on large and small investment banking, securities and commodities trading and commercial banking clients.
She received a B.S. in Economics and Accounting from New York University.
Ms. Touris is a Senior Associate, Investor Relations at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Ms. Touris was a Senior Associate in the Bisys Private Equity Services Group for four years in New York, focused on accounting for private equity clients.
Ms. Touris received a B.A in Finance and Management Information Systems from Villanova University.
Ms. Zhang is a Fund Controller at J.C. Flowers. Prior to joining the firm in 2011, Ms. Zhang was an Assistant Vice President at JP Morgan Private Equity Fund Services where she was responsible for managing the accounting and reporting deliverables for various private equity funds. She started her career at Eisner LLP serving clients in the financial services industry.
Ms. Zhang is a Certified Public Accountant and received a B.B.A. in accounting from Bernard M. Baruch College.
Ms. Zhu is an Associate, Investor Relations at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2015, Ms. Zhu was a Senior Account Executive at Joele Frank, Wilkinson Brimmer Katcher, where she focused on M&A communications, crisis management, investor relations and ongoing strategic communications. Prior to that, Ms. Zhu was a member of the Financial Sponsors Group at Citigroup.
Ms. Zhu received a B.S.F.S., magna cum laude, in International Economics from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
Mr. David Moffitt is a Managing Director at J.C. Flowers Asset Management and is responsible for building out the firm’s fixed income asset management business. Mr. Moffitt has 17 years of experience in creating and investing in structured products and has held senior roles at global investment banks including Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse where he has supervised investments, trading, structuring, banking and distribution of all types of securitized products. In addition, prior to joining JCFAM, Mr. Moffitt was a founding partner of Mead Park Management – a firm dedicated to investing in structured products. At Mead Park, Mr. Moffitt was responsible for originating and managing the firm’s $1.3bn CLO platform and was responsible for making investments in synthetic balance sheet securitizations.
Prior to banking, Mr. Moffitt practiced law with Brown Rudnick Freed and Gesmer in Boston and is a member of the Massachusetts and New York bars. He is a graduate of Syracuse University College of Law (magna cum laude, order of the Coif) and Binghamton University.
Mr. Valvano is a Vice President at J.C. Flowers Asset Management. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Mr. Valvano worked at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. for 11 years, where he served in various capacities in the Investment Bank, Regulatory Reporting, and Corporate Finance & Management divisions. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., Mr. Valvano was a CPA for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as an auditor in the Financial Services division.
Mr. Valvano received a B.S. cum laude in Accounting from William Paterson University and an M.S. in Taxation from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Mr. Sugumar is a Senior Associate at J.C. Flowers Asset Management. Prior to joining the firm in 2015, Mr. Sugumar was an Associate at Mead Park Management LLC focused on investments in structured products and operating companies with a fixed income focus. Prior to Mead Park, Mr. Sugumar held roles at Bridger Commercial Funding and Whitegate Advisors focused on commercial mortgage origination, securitization and investments.
Mr. Sugumar received a BBA in Finance and Investments from Baruch College. He is a CFA charterholder.
