Mr. Carrión is an Operating Partner at J.C. Flowers & Co. He is also the Executive Chairman and former long-time CEO of Popular, Inc., holding company of Banco Popular de Puerto Rico. Under Mr. Carrión’s leadership, Popular has emerged as a leading depository institution in Puerto Rico and among the top 50 largest banks on the mainland United States.

Mr. Carrión has also been a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) since 1990 and served on its Executive Board from 2004 to 2012. In 2010, he was elected to the Central Board of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). He is also the founder and trustee of Fundación Banco Popular and Banco Popular Foundation.

As an Operating Partner, Mr. Carrión receives compensation from certain JCF funds and portfolio companies.
