    Managing Director; CEO and Chairman

    Mr. Flowers is the CEO and Chairman of J.C. Flowers & Co. He has spent more than 40 years focused on financial services, both as an advisor and as an investor. Mr. Flowers worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co. from 1979 to 1998. At the time of his departure, he was Global Head of the Financial Institutions Group.

    Mr. Flowers, through the Anne and Chris Flowers Foundation and personally, supports many charitable causes. These include anti-malaria efforts in Africa, and Circles of Support, which works with ex-prisoners in New York State. Mr. Flowers serves on the Committee for University Resources at Harvard University and as a trustee of the Kasparov Chess Foundation.

    Mr. Flowers graduated from Harvard University in 1979, with a degree in Applied Mathematics.

    Fannie Abbott is an Associate, Investor Relations at J.C. Flowers & Co. LLC. Prior to becoming an Associate in 2021, Ms. Abbott was the Investor Relations Intern at JCF. Prior to joining JCF in 2018, Ms. Abbott was a Titles and Accounting Specialist at iLendingDirect.

    Ms. Abbott received a B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

    Mr. Alioglu is a Principal at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2016, Mr. Alioglu worked as an investment banker in the Financial Institutions Group at JPMorgan Chase for three years in London where he focused on the banking and insurance sectors.

    Mr. Alioglu serves on the Board of Director for Castle Trust Bank and Oneglobal Broking. He received a B.A. magna cum laude in Mathematics and Economics (Honors) from Northwestern University, and is a recipient of Robert Eisner Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Economic Research.


  • Richard Carrión
  • Richard Carrión

    OPERATING PARTNER

    Mr. Carrión is an Operating Partner at J.C. Flowers & Co. He is also the Executive Chairman and former long-time CEO of Popular, Inc., holding company of Banco Popular de Puerto Rico. Under Mr. Carrion’s leadership, Popular has emerged as a leading depository institution in Puerto Rico and among the top 50 largest banks on the mainland United States.

    Mr. Carrión has also been a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) since 1990 and served on its Executive Board from 2004 to 2012. In 2010, he was elected to the Central Board of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). He is also the founder and trustee of Fundación Banco Popular and Banco Popular Foundation.

    Mr. Carrión serves on the Board of Directors of First Bank Romania (formerly Piraeus Bank Romania). Mr. Carrión obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s Degree in Information Services from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. As an Operating Partner, Mr. Carrión receives compensation from certain JCF funds and portfolio companies.

    Mr. Choi is Director of Tax at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Mr. Choi was a Tax Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s real estate funds tax practice.  Mr. Choi has extensive tax experience in the private equity industry, addressing U.S. tax considerations related to both inbound and outbound investments.  At PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Mr. Choi worked closely with private equity fund sponsors to develop sophisticated fund structures for different types of investors and managed large tax compliance engagements.

    Mr. Choi received a B.S. in Accounting and an M.S. in Taxation from Baruch College.

    Mr. Cox is a Managing Director at JCF. Prior to joining the firm in 2012, Mr. Cox spent five years in investment banking, first in Rothschild’s London based Financial Institutions Group, and then as a Vice President at Credit Suisse in London where he covered European insurance. Previously, Mr. Cox also qualified as a Chartered Accountant while working in the Financial Sector Transaction Services team at KPMG in London, and he remains a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.

    Mr. Cox serves on the Board of Directors of Oneglobal Broking. He received a B.Sc. in Government & Economics from the London School of Economics.

    Mr. Dong is a Managing Director at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Mr. Dong was a member of the Financial Institutions Group at Barclays Investment Bank for three years in New York focused on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising transactions in the insurance sector.

    Mr. Dong serves on the Board of Directors for Ariel Re and Vericity, Inc. He received a B.S. (Honors) in Finance and Accounting with High Distinction from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University.

    Managing Director & Head of Tax

    Mr. Freebern is a Managing Director & Head of Tax at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Mr. Freebern served as the Tax Director of Lehman Brothers’ private equity business where he oversaw tax matters for all its divisions: fund of funds, credit products, merchant banking, real estate, venture capital, and communications. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Mr. Freebern was a Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s real estate funds tax practice.

    Mr. Freebern received a B.S. in Accounting from Alfred University and an M.S. in Taxation from Fordham University.

    Managing Director in Charge of JCF Europe London and Co-President

    Mr. Hanford is Managing Director of J.C. Flowers & Co. Europe and Co-President. Mr. Hanford is a member of the firm’s Management Committee. Prior to joining the firm in 2009, Mr. Hanford worked with J.C. Flowers & Co. as Co-Head of FPK Capital and, prior to that, as Head of Private Equity at Dresdner Bank and a member of the Institutional Restructuring Unit’s Executive Committee. Mr. Hanford’s other experience includes serving as a Board Director of Schroders, based in Hong Kong and Tokyo, where he was Head of Structured Finance.

    Mr. Hanford serves on the Boards of Directors of Castle Trust Bank and Inigo Limited.

    Mr. Hanford received a B.Sc. (Honors) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham and an M.S. in Management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business where he was a Sloan Fellow.

    Mr. Harding is a Managing Director at J.C. Flowers & Co. and a member of the firm’s Management Committee. Prior to joining the firm in 2015, Mr. Harding spent seven years in investment banking in the Financial Institutions Group of Bank of America Merrill Lynch, primarily in New York with one year in London, where he covered a diverse range of bank, insurance and specialty finance companies and most recently had responsibility for covering transportation leasing companies. Mr. Harding began his career as a lawyer at Cravath Swain and Moore.

    Mr. Harding serves on the Board of Directors of iLending Direct, Island Finance and Jefferson Capital. He received a B.A. with Highest Honors from Swarthmore College, a Juris Doctor degree as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar from Columbia Law School and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. He is a CFA charterholder.

    Ms. Laungani is the Managing Director & Chief Financial Officer at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2017, Ms. Laungani was a Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where she specialized in assurance services to clients in the asset management sector. She began her career at Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP where she served clients in a variety of industries including real estate, food and beverage and financial services.

    Ms. Laungani is a New York State Certified Public Accountant and received a B.B.A. in Accounting from Bernard M. Baruch College.

    Mr. Lydon is a Vice President at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2017, Mr. Lydon was a member of the Financial Institutions Group at Credit Suisse for two years in New York where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising transactions in the insurance and asset management sectors.

    Mr. Lydon serves on the Board of Directors of TRICOR, LLC. Mr. Lydon graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Commerce.

    Head of Business Development / Investor Relations & Managing Director

    Mr. Meade is a Managing Director at J.C. Flowers & Co. and Head of Business Development & Investor Relations. He has over 15 years of fundraising experience across the private markets and has held senior positions in both internal roles as well as a placement agent. Prior to joining the firm in 2023, Mr. Meade was a Managing Director on the Capital Formation team at Castlelake. He also held senior fundraising and investor relations positions at Apollo Global Management and Eaton Partners.

    Mr. Meade began his career on the Institutional Equity Sales Desk at Bear Stearns & Co. and received a B.A. from Georgetown University.

    Ms. Ng is the Director of Corporate Accounting at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Ms. Ng was the Controller of Corporate Accounting at Longacre Fund Management LLC, a distressed debt hedge fund. Prior to that she was a Manager in the Finance team at Macquarie in New York. Prior to joining Macquarie, Ms. Ng was a Manager in the audit and assurance practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Toronto, Canada specializing in financial services clients.

    Ms. Ng is an Illinois State Certified Public Accountant and a Canadian Chartered Public Accountant. She obtained her B.Comm at the University of Toronto.

    Mr. Oros is a Senior Advisor at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to being named Senior Advisor, Mr. Oros was an Operating Partner of the firm from 2018-2023. Before joining J.C. Flowers, Mr. Oros held a number of executive positions at Enstar Group Limited, including the role of Executive Chairman from 2000 – 2010. Prior to that, Mr. Oros was an investment banker in the Financial Institutions Group of Goldman Sachs for almost 20 years, where he became a General Partner in 1986. In addition, Mr. Oros was appointed Chairman of the Federal Savings and Loan Council in 1987, where he served for two years.

    Mr. Oros serves on the Board of Directors of iLending Direct, Island Finance, Jefferson Capital and TRICOR, LLC. Mr. Oros received a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin School of Business and served as a lieutenant in the United States Army and Army Reserves from 1968-1974. As an Operating Partner, Mr. Oros receives compensation from certain JCF funds and portfolio companies.

    Managing Director and Vice Chairman

    Mr. Portè is a Managing Director and Vice Chairman at JCF. Prior to joining the firm in 2009, Mr. Porté was with Shinsei Bank, Limited for approximately five years, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer and in various other executive roles. Before joining Shinsei’s management team, Mr. Porté spent 22 years at Morgan Stanley & Co., where he served in various capacities in capital markets, corporate finance and management in New York, London and Tokyo, ultimately becoming a Managing Director and the President, Representative Director and Branch Manager of Morgan Stanley Japan.

    Mr. Porte serves on the Board of Directors for Chi-X Asia Pacific.

    Mr. Porté received an A.B. magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in Economics from Harvard College and is a Baker Scholar graduate of the Harvard Business School.

Prior to joining the firm in 2019, Mr. Raba was a member of the Financial Institutions Group at Rothschild & Co for three years in London where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising transactions for banks, insurance companies and asset & wealth managers.

    Mr. Raba received an M.Sc. cum laude in Finance and Investments from the Rotterdam School of Management where he was part of the Honours class of the program.

    Mr. Rahe is a Managing Director and Co-President at JCF. Prior to joining the firm in 2014, Mr. Rahe was a Managing Director at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice where he established and led the firm’s financial services practice. Previously, he was a senior investment professional at the hedge fund SAB Capital, and before that a Partner at Capital Z Partners, the financial services focused private equity firm. Mr. Rahe began his career at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.

    Mr. Rahe serves on the Board of Directors for Ariel Re, ELMC Group, TRICOR, LLC and Vericity, Inc. He received an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College, where he graduated magna cum laude, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

    Mr. Remeza is a General Counsel Europe at JCF. Prior to joining the firm in 2012, Mr. Remeza served as legal counsel at Ashmore Group PLC, a London-based investment fund manager, where he was responsible for overseeing the legal aspects of the company’s private equity investments and fund formations. Prior to joining Ashmore, Mr. Remeza was an Associate at Kirkland & Ellis.

    Mr. Remeza received a J.D. from Columbia University Law School, an L.L.M. in International Business Law and an M.Sc. in International Relations from London School of Economics & Political Science and a B.A. in Philosophy and Government from Dartmouth College. Mr. Remeza is a Fulbright Scholar.

    Darrian is an Associate at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2022, she worked as a summer associate in the Financial Institutions Group at Goldman Sachs and as a member of the Markets Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York where she focused on monetary policy implementation for two years.

    Darrian serves on the Advisory Board for Chess in the Schools. She received a B.A. in Public Policy from the University of Chicago and an M.B.A. as a Feldberg Fellow from Columbia Business School.

    Ms. Rocker is a Managing Director & General Counsel at JCF and a member of the firm’s Management Committee. Prior to joining the firm in 2000, Ms. Rocker was Of Counsel at O’Sullivan Graev & Karabell, where she represented major financial institutions in their private equity investments. Prior to that, she was an Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group from 1988 to 1996. Ms. Rocker began her career in the business sector, working at Petro Lewis Corporation as an Associate in the Strategic Planning and Treasury Departments.

    Ms. Rocker serves on the Boards of Directors for ELMC Group, LLC. She received a B.A. from Brown University, an M.B.A. from Yale University and a J.D. from Stanford University.

    Dr. Rosetti is an Operating Partner at JCF. Prior to joining the firm, Dr. Rosetti served as CEO of Mirabank, where she set up the business as a green field project. Previously, she also served as CEO for various banks within the ProCredit group in Europe, leading them through critical turnarounds, mergers and operational changes. She has extensive executive management expertise in banking in Central and Eastern Europe, with a specific focus on improving, building, and revamping institutions to deliver results, often by designing solutions that include organization and business model transformation.

    Dr. Rosetti serves on the Board of Directors for First Bank (Romania) and Hamburg Commercial Bank AG. Dr. Rosetti holds a B.A. degree in Mathematics and a M.A. degree in Economics from the University J.W. Goethe in Frankfurt am Main, and a PhD from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest. As an Operating Partner, Dr. Rosetti receives compensation from certain JCF funds and portfolio companies.

    Mr. Schrum is an Senior Associate at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2019, Mr. Schrum was an investment banker at FT Partners for two years in New York where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising transactions for financial technology companies in the insurance and payments sectors.

    Mr. Schrum graduated with distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.A. in Economics.

    Deputy Chief Compliance Officer & Associate Counsel

    Ms. Shatzkes is a Deputy Chief Compliance Officer & Associate Counsel at JCF. Prior to joining the firm in 2022, Ms. Shatzkes was the Chief Compliance Officer of TZP Group, LLC, a Registered Investment Adviser to private equity funds, where she worked to ensure firm-wide adherence to the Compliance Program, Code of Ethics, and applicable regulations. Prior to that, from 2014 to 2016, she was an Associate at Fore Research & Management, LLC, a Registered Investment Adviser to hedge funds, where she focused on compliance and investor relations. Ms. Shatzkes began her career in 2012 as a Legal Consultant in the legal departments of BNP Paribas and Societe Generale where she developed and implemented plans to comply with the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.

    Ms. Shatzkes received a B.A. in Economics from Binghamton University and a J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law.

    Ms. Touris is a Director of Investor Relations at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Ms. Touris was a Senior Associate in the Bisys Private Equity Services Group for four years in New York, focused on accounting for private equity clients.

    Ms. Touris received a B.A in Finance and Management Information Systems from Villanova University.

  • Louis Vachon

    Operating Partner

    Mr. Vachon is an Operating Partner at JCF. From June 2007 to October 2021, Louis Vachon was President and Chief Executive Officer of National Bank of Canada, where he was responsible for the strategies, orientations and development of the Bank and its subsidiaries. Mr. Vachon started his tenure with National Bank of Canada in 2005.

    Mr. Vachon began his career in 1985 at Citibank and joined Lévesque Beaubien Geoffrion in 1986. From 1990 to 1996, he worked for Bankers Trust, where he was ultimately appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian subsidiary, BT Bank of Canada. Mr. Vachon rejoined the National Bank in 1996 as President and Chief Executive Officer of Innocap Investment Management. A year later, he was appointed Senior Vice-President – Treasury and Financial Markets.

    Mr. Vachon serves on the Boards of Molson Coors Beverage Company, Groupe CH Inc. and Alimentations Couche-Tard and he is involved with a number of social and cultural organizations.

    Mr. Vachon holds a Master’s degree in International Finance from Tufts’ Fletcher School and a BA in Economics from Bates College. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst, CFA®. Mr. Vachon is a Member of the Order of Canada, Officer of the National Order of Québec and Knight of the Order of Montréal as well as a recipient of the Global Citizens Award from the United Nations Association in Canada. As an Operating Partner, Mr. Vachon receives compensation from certain JCF funds and portfolio companies.

    Mr. Wynn is an Associate at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm in 2022, Freddie was an investment banker at Fenchurch Advisory Partners in London where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising transactions for financial institutions, with a focus on the insurance sector. Prior to joining Fenchurch, he worked in the Financial Institutions Group at RBC Capital Markets.

    Mr. Wynn received an M.Sc. with Distinction in Computational Finance from the University College London and has a First-Class degree in Economics from the University of Bristol.

    Mr. Yordán is a Managing Director at JCF and member of the firm’s Management Committee. Prior to joining the firm out of business school in 2011, Mr. Yordán worked as an investment banker at Goldman, Sachs & Co., in both New York and London.

    Mr. Yordán serves on the Board of Directors of Hamburg Commercial Bank AG, Telent Limited and the LMAX Group. He received a B.A. magna cum laude from Middlebury College with degrees in Spanish and Film Studies, and is a graduate of the M.B.A. program at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

    Ms. Zhang is a Fund Controller at J.C. Flowers. Prior to joining the firm in 2011, Ms. Zhang was an Assistant Vice President at  JP Morgan Private Equity Fund Services where she was responsible for managing the accounting and reporting deliverables for various private equity funds.  She started her career at Eisner LLP serving clients in the financial services industry.

    Ms. Zhang is a Certified Public Accountant and received a B.B.A. in accounting from Bernard M. Baruch College.
